Snow Peak Amenity Dome M - 2-person
This is a very popular model for beginners. The vestibule is spacious and comfortable, allowing you to create a pleasant living area with a table and chairs.
I use it just for sleeping. The water and wind resistance are perfectly fine, and I feel like I don't need any more performance than this (though I wish it had a skirt). People say it's low, but thanks to its low height, it offers greater flexibility when combined with a tarp, making it a frequently used tent. Even so, Snow Peak tents are expensive. The Amenity Dome M, an entry-level model, costs over 35,000 yen, which is quite high even if it's cheaper than other Snow Peak tents. Compared to Coleman and other brands, there are few aspects that truly impress me enough to justify the higher price. Why is there only one side entrance in the vestibule? It seems like a cost-cutting measure (though the vestibule itself is just the right size). I wonder if the Amenity Dome sells the most because people feel it's "good enough" while also thinking that Snow Peak isn't all that special and their expensive tents aren't worth the price.

This tent offers excellent ventilation, making it comfortable in both winter and summer. It's also available in 4-person and 6-person models, which is another appealing feature as you can choose according to the number of people.
I replaced my Coleman Max Wide Dome 360 with this. It was essential that my 4th-grade daughter and I could set up the tent together, and we were able to do it easily. The space is ample (for a family of four plus a dog), and the mesh on the fly sheet is good for our dog. Since it's easy to set up, I want to go camping more often. For a family of four plus extras, I recommend the 6-person model.

While it may be somewhat susceptible to wind, it comes with a tarp and is highly resistant to rain. Many people choose this model for its cool appearance.
Although some people underestimate it, I think it's the best gear for enjoying solo time. The inner tent is suspended, so it's a bit cramped at the head and foot, but sleeping slightly diagonally solves the problem (I'm 175cm). If you're solo, you can even put your luggage inside the inner tent, and there's plenty of space between the outer and inner tents. From my experience using it three times so far, there were no issues at all. It might not be suitable for those with conventional, rigid thinking... However, it's not strong against strong winds. Since it's a suspended type, you can't just put away the tarp. I think it's gear where you should prioritize the wind forecast in the local weather report the most.
