・Features
It's a "high-spec campsite" with excellent facilities and services.
Most of the campsite is covered in beautiful grass, and it faces the ocean, so you can enjoy ocean views with just a short walk, making it a campsite with a great location.
I went camping there in the summer with my wife and 5-year-old son, and we also enjoyed catching long-armed shrimp in the ocean. Perhaps because it's close to the ocean, there were hardly any insects, and my wife, who dislikes bugs, was happy to have a comfortable stay.
In terms of access, it's about a 20-minute drive from Hamamatsu IC and about a 25-minute drive from Enshu Toyota Smart IC.

・Shop/Shopping Locations
There's a shop inside the campground's administration building. It sells condiments, snacks, ice, and ice cream.
(*No fresh food or refrigerated items are handled.) It also sells daily necessities such as towels, toothbrushes, shampoo, and dry cell batteries.
Outside the campground, there's a convenience store about a 5-minute drive away, and supermarkets like MaxValu are about a 10-minute drive away. It's a convenient campground that can handle last-minute shopping needs.
・Toilets
As expected from a high-spec campground, the toilets are very clean and all flushable.
What's more, all Western-style toilets have heated seats, making them even more comfortable. Barrier-free toilets are also available.
・Water facilities/Cooking area
As for water facilities, each pitch site has its own sink, which is very convenient for cooking and washing dishes.
Also, there are two shared cooking areas within the campground. There are plenty of washing stations, making them easy to use.
・Hot Springs
Right next to the campsite is a bathing facility called "Shiosai Ryuyo." It's a 1-minute walk away.
Admission fee: Adults: ¥360, Elementary/Junior high students: ¥150, Infants: Free
You can enter at a very reasonable price.
Also, even if you don't use the bath, there are shower rooms in the administration building that can be used for ¥100 for 6 minutes.
・Garbage
Upon check-in, you'll be given designated garbage bags, so you can sort and dispose of your trash before leaving, which is very helpful. However, there are some items that cannot be disposed of.
There are a total of 3 garbage disposal areas. Used charcoal can also be disposed of.
・Surrounding Facilities
"Ryuyo Ocean Park"... A 10-minute walk from the campsite. It's a large park with an athletic playground, roller slide, multi-purpose field, etc., and is a very popular spot for families with children.
"Shiosai Ryuyo"… is a bathing facility, but you can also enjoy delicious meals at the barbecue terrace and restaurant, and shop for local products at the direct sales store.
It's just a 1-minute walk from the campsite, making it easy to stop by on your way back.
The above is information about the Ryuyo Ocean Auto Campgrounds, which I (and my family) recommend. I believe it is a clean campsite with excellent facilities and environment, making it a very comfortable place to stay. Please try visiting it once.
