Today's book, the fourth installment, is a wonderful zine (little press) called "People and Mountains / Plant Memories" by ideallife.

Ever since I was a student, I've felt that zines are a wonderful medium that extracts only the best parts of print media like magazines and books. Whenever I visit my favorite independent bookstores in Shimokitazawa or Kamakura, I always buy up zines with good taste. (I bought this zine at B&B in Shimokitazawa.)

This zine masterfully compiles, with text and photos, the delicate essence felt from plants and mountains, along with contributions from independent bookstore owners across the country sharing their "memories with plants."

What I found most wonderful was the afterword by the author, Yasuko Ito. She expressed her feelings towards those who contributed their plant memories, saying, "It felt as if they shared their precious treasures with me," and this delicate and beautiful expression deeply moved me.

What are your memories with plants?

It might be interesting to compare them with your own memories while reading this zine.
