Today, for the fourth time, we feature "Lafuzin."
Lafuzin, pronounced "Rafujin," is a Japanese neo-retro pop duo whose melodies, influenced by sophisti-pop and synth-pop, have a charmingly nostalgic feel.
Mika Tamura (Lead Vocal, Art Director):
Born May 19, 1990. Hailing from Hiroshima Prefecture, she was raised in Fukuoka. She was formerly the bassist for the pop band "CHEESE CAKE."
With CHEESE CAKE, she won the grand prize at the "V3 Newcomer Audition" hosted by Kyushu Asahi Broadcasting (KBC) in March 2009, and in August of the same year, she won second prize at "Senkou Riot 2009," a summer festival for teenagers hosted by TOKYO FM.
In 2020, she began her solo career under the name "Lafuzin," creating neo-retro sounds.
She releases music with a theme of nostalgia, and reportedly handles all the artwork herself.
BRIAN SHINSEKAI (Vocal, Keyboard, Chorus, Programming, Composer, Arranger):
In 2009, under the name Brian Shinsekai, he participated in the "Senkou Riot" finals.
In 2018, he made his major debut from Victor Entertainment under the name BRIAN SHINSEKAI.
In March 2020, he began producing music for Lafuzin.
In the same year, he started accompanying OKAMOTO'S on tour as a keyboard support and began producing songs for the idol group PIGGS, led by Pour Lui, formerly of Bis, under the name "Rayn.B," expanding his activities in various fields.
In January 2022, he officially joined Lafuzin as a member.
