Today's playlist. This time, for #7, we have the French male-female duo "Videoclub".
The song features beautiful love lyrics sung in French by a man and a woman, creating a truly unique world. Perhaps because they are a real-life couple, listening to it makes you feel as if you can sense their emotions through their voices.
They started their activities in 2018 and suspended them in 2021 due to a breakup.
Life throws all sorts of things at you, doesn't it?
"Videoclub" - a very French melody and voice from France.
VIDEOCLUB is a French music project formed in Nantes, France in 2018. Its members were Adele Castillon and Mathieu Renaud.
They gained popularity with their song "Amour Plastique," released in September 2018, which, as of May 2023, has garnered over 110 million views on YouTube. Furthermore, the two were characterized by being a couple for most of their time together.
This song has regained popularity on the internet, featuring French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. The song was first used on TikTok in late September 2023, and it uses Napoleon's desperate statement, "There's nothing I can do," in response to his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo and his second exile.
They released a total of seven singles, collaborations, and the studio album "Euphories," but on March 31, 2021, Mathieu announced that he would be leaving the project due to the couple's breakup.
