This is a record store I've been going to ever since I first moved to Setagaya. It's popular because of its amazing point card system, which is valid as long as the store is open. Once you collect 50 stamps, you can buy any number of records under 15,000 yen for half price.
Seattle rain, to the sound of a piano
The rain in Seattle quietly transformed into piano melodies, nurturing the talent of Dan Siegel. Having grown up surrounded by music, Siegel began his professional career at the age of 12, honing his skills at Berklee College of Music and the University of Oregon.
In 1980, he made a sensational debut with his first album, "Nite Ride," released on the prestigious jazz label "Inner City Records." His next album, "The Hot Spot," reached the top 10 on the Billboard jazz chart, and he quickly became a rising star in the jazz world.
To LA, and a new challenge
However, Siegel's thirst for knowledge knew no bounds. He moved his base of operations to Los Angeles, the center of the entertainment world, and expanded his activities to include music production for movies and television. In 1986, he signed with Epic Records and established a new genre called smooth jazz. Its sophisticated sound captivated many people and became iconic music of its time.

Siegel's talent extends far beyond composing. He has composed music for films such as "Reform School Girls" and the popular television show "Hard Copy," and has demonstrated his skills as music director for the CBS late-night program "Overtime... with Pat O'Brien." Furthermore, his work spans many fields, including his participation in the music for the Academy Award-winning film "The Usual Suspects."

From New Age to contemporary jazz, Dan Siegel's music continues to evolve, captivating listeners to this day.
